Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Video Verifier ("we", "us") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

Video Verifier produces AI-generated summaries, topic timelines, claim checks and chat for publicly available YouTube videos you submit. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must give an accurate email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account.

4. Plans, usage and billing

• Free: up to 1 hour of video (about 3 videos of 20 min), 3 fact-checks, 3 translations and 30 chat messages a month (calendar month). Free usage may be paused for the rest of a day when overall free capacity is reached.
• Pro ($8 / month): up to 20 hours of video (about 60 videos of 20 min), 50 fact-checks, 50 translations and 500 chat messages a month (calendar month).
• Fair use: each account has a monthly and, on Pro, a daily limit on the AI processing cost it can cause; web-search-heavy features (fact-checks, chat) reach it fastest. When it is reached, paid features pause until the next day or month. The service may also pause for everyone for the rest of a day if overall capacity is reached.

Video usage is measured by the length of each video you submit. A fact-check that reuses an existing check of the same video is free. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused time does not roll over. Videos that fail to process are not counted. Paid plans are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes and receipts. You can cancel at any time; Pro access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content you have no right to access, or use the service to infringe anyone's rights.
• Resell, scrape or automate the service, or try to get around usage limits (e.g. multiple accounts).
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data.
• Use the output to harass, defame or deceive others.

6. Content and output

Videos remain the property of their creators; we only process the transcript to produce your summary. You may use the summaries and other output for your own purposes. We don't claim ownership of your chats or notes, and we only store and process them to provide the service.

7. AI output can be wrong

Summaries, fact-checks and chat answers are generated by AI models and can be incomplete or incorrect, including the "verification" of claims. They are for information only and are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Check important facts against the original video and reliable sources.

8. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@videoverifier.app.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms and will notify you by email or in the app about material changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic; disputes go to the courts of Prague, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
