Video Verifier ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here, collected when you use videoverifier.app.
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting a video from your history deletes its summary and chat. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law.
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to processing. Legal bases we rely on: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to provide the service, legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security and abuse prevention, and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for billing records. Contact privacy@videoverifier.app; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority; in the Czech Republic that is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
Some sub-processors (including Anthropic and Groq) process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
We use only what's needed for the service: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, two preference cookies that remember your chosen site language and currency, and small browser storage entries for display preferences such as the summary language. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies. The embedded YouTube player is provided by Google and may set its own cookies when you play a video.
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and password reset links are single-use and expire after one hour.
We'll notify you of material changes by email or in the app. Questions: privacy@videoverifier.app.
